(nee Morel)
With tears and broken hearts, we announce that our beautiful Lori slipped away peacefully with her loving family by her side at home on May 11, 2013 at the age of 53. Cherished wife and best friend for 32 years of Ken. Loved and adored mother of Dustin, Jessie and Kenlyn. Special daughter of Len & Shirley Morel, cherished daughter-in-law of the late Alex & Joan Ramsey. Very special sister of Cindy Morel & Gary Janisse, Kelly & Ron Bellemore, Lenni & Mike Reed, Michelle & Darcey Grant. Loved sister-in-law of Cindy & Al Kok, Carey & Dave Renaud, Tim & Patti Ramsey and Sally & Matt Cleary. Cherished aunt of Rudy, Jaime, Brett, Stacey, Kelsey, Kailey, Sam, Jeff, Sommer, Sawyer, Garrett, Darcy, Donovan, Deedee, Dana, Dane, Demi, Christine, Greg, Toni, Alex and Logan. She will be missed by many friends from the GM Trim Plant where she worked for 30 years. Lori may have lost her battle with breast cancer, but she never gave up the fight. Never did Lori lose her hope, nor complain and never would she let you see her fears. Lori always showed a positive attitude and held a strength that helped others around her cope with her illness. She always worried about how others were doing as she was fighting for her own life. With her passing, we have lost not only a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend, but a truly amazing person. To know her was to love her and everyone that has truly known Lori will understand that there will never be another more gentle, selfless, loving, down-to-earth person. Her family and friends were her life. While sharing our lives together, she has given us strength, knowledge and endless love that will guide us through this time of sorrow and into the future. Lori always saw the brighter side of things, and the good in everyone. With her magical smile, she will be truly missed and loved, but never forgotten. Special thanks to Dr. Mathews, her nurse Pam for their love and support throughout her long journey, and the incredible girls in the chemo room. A special thank you to her hospice nurse, Jessica, for her compassion and support. Donations to Hospice of Windsor-Essex would be appreciated. We are so terribly saddened to hear of Lori's passing. Our thoughts, prayers and deepest sympathy are with the Ramsey and Morel family during this time of sorrow. When we lose someone we love, it's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel. But be sure that with each day, that light will become brighter and you will then start to feel your pain lessen. Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy.

I just recently heard the news of Lori's passing. I grew up with Ken and worked with Lori at GM Trim. Lori was always upbeat and positive. My condolences to Ken, the children and the Morel family.

Meeting Lori was always an uplifting experience. She NEVER thought of herself, always preparing and convincing those around her she was fine, but she worried especially about her Ken.
