Lori Rickard Obituary

LOVELAND, Colo. - Lori D. Rickard was born June 18, 1956, in Minneapolis, Minn. After a courageous battle against cancer, she went on to be with her Lord Jesus on Dec. 10, 2010.
During her 21-month fight she blessed many people with her strength, compassion and faith.
Her personal trust in Jesus to completely save her is now beautifully realized.
Lori was talented in many varied ways and she put great creativity and flair into all of her pursuits.
Lori has written a children's book and produced numbers of art pieces with her printmaking skills.
She graduated from Aurora Central High School in 1974 and she completed a degree in art from Northern Arizona University in 1979. She was married to Bret Rickard on Nov. 30, 1991, in Englewood, Colo.
She bore two outstanding children, Seth in 1993 and Kenna in 1997. Beyond her times of homemaking and home schooling, her career highlight was working at Denver Seminary as an administrative assistant to the seminary president, Dr. Haddon Robinson, from 1988 until 1994.
Survivors include her husband, Bret Rickard, son Seth Rickard and daughter Kenna Rickard, all of Loveland; her parents, Paul and Shirley Miller of Aurora, Colo.; sister, Brenda Pope of Overland Park, Kan.; step-sister, Dee Miller Pierce of Aurora and husband Dale; and step brother, Brad Miller of New Orleans, La.; Survivors also include Kent and Debbie Rickard, Gary and Kim Rickard, Neil Rickard, Ethan Rickard, Brian Pope, Kevin Pope and Megan Pope.
A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Faith Evangelical Church, 2707 N. Wilson Ave. of Loveland, Colo.
A reception will follow the memorial service in the Hall of Faith at the church.
In lieu of flowers, gifts may be directed to the Galilee Baptist Church memorial fund or to the Lori D. Rickard memorial fund to be used as an education fund for Lori's children in care of Galilee Baptist Church, 2525 Van Buren Court, Loveland, CO 80538.
