METAMORA - Lorna M. Farrar, age 84, of Metamora, formerly of Vermont and Florida, passed away at 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria, Ill.
She was born April 18, 1926, in Lowell, Mass., to Dana L. and Reva L. (Sweet) Goodnow. She married Milton R. Farrar on Oct. 18, 1946, in Chester, Vt. He survives.
Surviving are her children, Pamela (Jimmie) Thomas of Eureka and David (Donna) Farrar of Essex Junction, Vt.; and grandchildren, Matt (Sue) Thomas and Wendy and Nicole Thomas. Lorna is also survived by three siblings, Barbara Bradle of Eureka, Dana O. (Joanne) Goodnow of Tunbridge, Vt., and Patricia (Richard) Lafayette of Springfield, Vt.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Harold.
For many years Lorna worked as a draftsman for National Survey.
Cremation rites will be accorded, with burial of ashes in Olio Cemetery in Eureka at a later date.
Memorials may be given to Snyder Village in Metamora.

Pam and family we are all so saddened to hear that Lorna passed away, she was a fighter and full of spunk right up to the end. We will all miss her deeply.
