Lorraine Greerty Pasini

Lorraine Greerty Pasini was born on October 20, 1940 in Monterey Co., California to Claude and Marie (Lounibos) Greerty. Lorraine passed away on May 28, 2024 in Ajijic, Mexico. Lorraine was the fourth of five children, raised in Martinez, CA, where she attended St. Catherine School, Holy Names High School and Holy Names University in Oakland. Lorraine became a Sister of the Holy Names Society, teaching in some of their California schools for twelve years. Following her time in religious life, Lorraine worked in real estate in San Francisco where she met her future husband Luis Pasini. Lorraine and Luis lived in San Francisco, ultimately moving to Glen Ellen where they raised their family while refurbishing the Glenellie Inn. After selling the Inn, they remodeled their beautiful family home in Glen Ellen. Lorraine taught school at Hanna Boys Center, specializing in Art, which was her gift. Following the passing of Luis in 2000, Lorraine moved to Ajijic where she bought and lovingly decorated an old inn, renaming it Estrellita's Inn which brought her much happiness and friendships.

Lorraine is survived by Shleigh, Rino and Louie Pasini; brother Tom Greerty (Kit); and many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Lorraine was predeceased by her parents; husband, Luis; sisters Maureen Baker, and Joan Delevati (Richard deceased); brother Terry Greerty (Anita); nephews Mark Baker, Paul Delevati, and Peter Delevati; and grandniece Kristen Delevati.

A memorial mass will be held at St. Catherine of Siena Church in Martinez on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11AM, with lunch to follow. Realizing that travel and our aging selves make attendance difficult for some, please remember her in your private prayers if you are unable to attend.
