What a shock. Lorraine had been my hair dresser since the mid 1960's until I moved to Peoria, Illinois in October of 2003. For many of those years I saw her twice a week to have my hair done. I remember one event quite vividly. I came in one Saturday morning and waited and waited for her to come downstairs to fix my hair. After a while a lady came down and said that Lorraine was in the hospital having her baby (Lynn) and wouldn't be able to fix my hair. It seems they had missed calling me to cancel my appointment. We laughed over that event many times over the years. Another time when she worked for Jackie Ann's, I was left under the dryer as she had cut her finger and had been taken to the hospital. She told them not to forget about my lady under the dryer but in all the turmoil they forgot about me and I spent a long time under the dryer before someone remembered. I'm really going to miss Lorraine. She was a kind person and was always accommodating if something came up and you needed your hair fixed in a hurry. She was 5 months younger than me and it is hard to believe she is gone. May God bring comfort and peace to the family at this time. Be sure to remember all the good memories that you have! God Bless.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Lorraine. I have been in Florida for 23 years, but always managed to see Lorraine every few years when I went up to visit. She was always wonderful to me, especially during my teen years right after my parents separated. Lorraine made me feel welcome every time I went to her home. Though I can't be there for her funeral, please know that my thoughts and prayers are with all with her family.
