Lottie T. Berry

Lottie T. Berry, age 79, a retired LPN, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2013, in Monticello.

Mrs. Berry, was a native of Waycross, Georgia and had lived in Homerville, Georgia before moving to Monticello thirty years ago. She was a member of the Garden Club, Woman's Club, and on the Board of Directors at the Senior Citizens Center. Mrs. Berry was an active member of the First Baptist Church, where she served on several committees, and was a member of the Women's Missionary Union, and a member of the Dorcas Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Berry is survived by three daughters; Cheryl James (Kemper) of Madison, Fl.; Jacqueline "Jackie" Lancaster of Seagrove, N C and Teresa Raley (Robert) of Bossier City, La.; one step-daughter, Mary Todd Berry; one step-son Russ Berry; one brother W. A. "Buck" Thrift of Cherry Lake, Fl.; five sisters Mary Hendricks of Homerville, Ga.; Sylvia (W. C.) Gray of Cherry Lake, Fl; Ruby Ricketson (Buddy) of Blackshear, Ga.; Bobbie Bennett (Jeff) of Lake City, Fl. and Ann "Nittie" York of Cherry Lake, Fl.; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband William "Bill" Berry, III and one son James Randy Stephens.

Funeral services will be Monday, March 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at the Monticello First Baptist Church, 325 W. Washington Street, Monticello, Florida 32344. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the church. Interment will follow the service at Oakfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of your choice. Beggs Funeral Home Monticello Chapel (850-997-5612), 485 E. Dogwood Street, Monticello, Florida 32344 is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Lottie was a very special lady. She often spoke her mind and yet was a very dear lady. She was and still is loved by her family and friends. She will remain in their hearts and forever missed.
May peace and Gods comforting hand ease the loss of Mrs. Lottie.
