Lou Rutledge Putman, 94, formerly of Lexington, passed away July 25, 2025. The daughter of the late Walter T. and Frances Godfrey Rutledge, Lou was married for 65 years to the late William Arnold Putman. She is survived by six children: Elizabeth Jones (Russ), Marilu McGregor (Jimmy), Lynn Hudson (Billy), Sally Sherrin (the late Dale), Billy Putman (Rebecca), and Alan Putman (Janice). Also surviving are her two loving sisters, Ruth Rutledge Martin and Ann Rutledge Cox, with whom she most recently lived at Wesley Commons. She is survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Blaney Baptist Church (PO Box 305, Elgin, SC 29045) or to the charity of your choice.
