Louie Lopez Obituary
Louie R. Lopez of Coachella passed away after a brief illness on February 24, 2016. He was born on September 8, 1949 to Leo and Mary Reyes Lopez.
He is survived by his three children, Mary Lou Tamez of Cathedral City, Melinda Lopez of Coachella, Louie Lopez Jr. of Thermal and 12 grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother David Lopez, sisters Esther Lopez and Rosie Gomez all of Coachella, Margaret Cruz of Fresno and Emma Lopez of Desert Hot Springs.
He is preceded in death by both his parents, a twin brother and his beloved wife Cecilia R. Lopez in 2008. We are comforted in knowing that they will now be joined for eternity.
Louie worked and retired from A.C. Houston Lumber after 39 years. He retired in 2013 and became a full-time grandpa. He was very well known for his skillful craftsmanship and a very devoted Ram fan. His love for life and his giving personality made him one of a kind. He will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Our Lady of Soledad Catholic Church in Coachella. Viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a Rosary beginning at 10:30 a.m. Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. Graveside services will begin at 12:00 p.m. at Coachella Valley Cemetery in Coachella.
