Louis Clemens Obituary
Louis was born in Bellaire, O., on Nov. 26, 1914, the son of the late Kirk and Mary Clemens. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jean Gotschall Clemens, on Feb. 18, 2004; also, an infant son, James; two brothers, Kirk and Vincent Clemens; and one sister, Margaret Clemens.
Louis was a graduate of Catholic Central High School Class of 1932. He was a retired steel worker from Weirton Steel Steubenville plant after 44 years of service and a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church in Cadiz, O.
Louis is survived by six sons, Thomas (Carole) Clemens of Dayton, O., Marion (Frances) Clemens of Washington, Pa., Richard (Sharon) Clemens of Carrollton O., Raymond (Linda) Clemens of Mount View, Ark., Marcus Clemens of Hopedale, O., and Jerry (Cindy)Clemens of Hopedale, O.; one daughter, Rosemary (Willie) Gray of Bryan, O.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Theresa Clemens of Yuma, Ariz., and Maris Stella Clemens of Yuma, Ariz.
Friends may call at the Blackburn Funeral Home at 324 High St. in Hopedale on Sunday, Nov. 30, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wake services will be on Sunday evening at 8:30 p.m.
Funeral liturgy will be held at St. Teresa Church in Cadiz, O., on Monday, Dec. 1, 2008, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Greenwood, with the Rev. Father Timothy McGuire officiating.
