Louis was one of my dearest friends. Knew him all his life...grew up with him in all 12 grades during 1943-55; played football with him in high school, went on many hunting adventures with him, graduated from high school with Louis in 1955, started College with him in 1955 at Mississippi State University, was in the same fraternity with him, he and I worked on a ranch in Wyoming in the summer of 1956, kept a close friendship through all of these years and was blessed beyond words by his ever present love and caring, had a last visit with him at his home in 2016 where he and Nancy were saviors to us when my wife was suffering from kidney stones. A more faithful and loving friend could not be had or found. The last time I saw him in person I told him I loved him and he responded to me with similar words. While his physical presence is so deeply missed, his spirit and all the wonderful things he accomplished in his life will live on in his family, his patients, his fellow doctors and his innumerable friends. God Bless this memory of him and what he meant to me and everyone else.

My heart and prayers go out to all of Dr. Gregory's family, as well as all the friends, staff and patients who were fortunate enough to have him in their lives.

He came into my life when my pregnancy revealed kidney failure, he saw me thru my pregnancy, including dialysis while pregnant, the birth of my daughter, a kidney transplant, ups, downs and continued care all these 17 years later. God put him in my path to help see me through that scary time and I can't imagine another doctor (along with Dr. Davis) providing both the care and emotional support that he did.

His compassion, kindness and genuine caring spirit always shined through. No matter what he personally was going through, he was there for me and all his other patients.

Some of my favorite memories are of us using part of my appts getting caught up on his and Nancy's travel plans, sometimes with the family (he was so excited about that cruise a couple years ago with ALL the family before the grands started going their ways!) --- I always teased him that I was traveling through him, so to choose wisely and have an awesome time cuz he was traveling for two!! He'd laugh and we'd hug goodbye till the next visit.

He was an inspiration and I always said 'I want to grow up and be just like YOU!' I can only hope to be half the person he was. Heaven has truly been blessed with a wonderful angel.

May God's love and mercy, plus all your wonderful memories help ease your hearts.

With much love,

Dee/Bob Miller

I will be forever grateful for God allowing Dr. Gregory to be my doctor and my friend. His kindness and sincere concern was always evident. He was not just concerned with the medical tests and numbers, but always interested in the ministry and me personally. He always sought to encourage, even when my levels were not the best. I know from conversations we had, we will meet again. I am praying for the family and have great gratitude to God for the privilege of knowing this genuinely humble man. God bless you all.
