Dear Barbara and family,
I just found out about the passing of Louis and I am in shock...deeply saddened...the wind has been taken out of my sails. Louis was so much fun...so vibrant....and colourful. I will always remember him in the sailing races...the flash of flourescent green, way ahead, crossing the finish line...just a spec from my vantage point.I offer my deepest condolences...there is such a huge hole...and I will miss him terribly but am sure he will be with us sailing.

Aunt Barb, Paul, Nicole, Shelly, and John: I am so sorry for the loss of such an amazing man. Uncle Lou was one of the kindest men, always smiling and could always put a smile on everyones faces. He will be greatly missed by all the Langlois family. I remember when he traveled he would always send me post cards with trivia questions to answer when I got to the cottage that summer. I am so glad I kept those post cards all these years. I have so many great memories of him and will miss him so much. If there is anything you need please don't hesitate to ask. Love you all xoxo

Dear Barb and Family: Though I have never met Lou, I heard a lot of the closeness that my daughter Kim had often expressed to me of Lou and all the family and how much she enjoyed spending time and some vacations together with all of you. So saddened to hear of the sudden illness and loss. It is so hard for all of you. As time passes by may you always draw strength that he is now in the presence of the Lord Most High. Jan Edstrom

Barb, Shelly, John, Nicole, Paul –
We are deeply saddened to hear of Lou's passing. We have so many good memories it's hard to know where to begin. Lou was such an outstanding friend, always there for you, always tolerant of others, always a smile and a laugh – that's how we will remember him.
We talked with our kids about Grand Lake, and such a flood of memories. We realize it was only a few years, but they sure were good – boating, swimming, bonfires, and breaking bread. And also the Investment Club, the fishing trips, the annual dinners, the curling. Such times.
We know there will be a huge void. Time may not heal all wounds, but the passage of years lets us make peace in our own way, and we pray that all of you will continue the spirit of his ways.

Barb and family:
I was very saddened to hear of Lou's passing. It was my great privilege to work with him both at Finance and as a consultant in the NWT. Not only was Lou a very valuable colleague but everybody liked him and he was always fun to be with. I also fondly remember skiing with Lou and you at Mont St. Anne. While I'm in Florida now and will be unable to attend the funeral, Lou will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Patrick

We first met "Louis A." and Barb in the 1960s when they and Shelley moved in next door to us in Elmvale Acres. We became very close friends and, over the years, remained that way as our family moved to other places. Along the way, we were priviledged to meet John, Nicole, and ultimately, Paul Greg. They were, for us, the model of a loving, caring family. Always, Lou had a twinkling in his eye and a deep, caring insight into the feelings of others. It has been a great priviledge and our hearts go out to barb, their children, and grandchildren.

Barb and family,
I was saddened to hear of the passing of my sweet cousin Buddy. Whenever I happen to run into him he would give me such a big warm hug and the twinkle in his eyes told me he was genuine. Barbara and Buddy were made for each other. I never met his children but I am sure that having a dad like Buddy they must be wonderful people. His other family await him at the gates in heaven. He was a beautiful man and I loved him. To his brothers and sister I am deeply sorry for your loss.

Dear Barb & family:
Where do I begin to express our shock & sorrow 1st in learning of Buddy's illness a few short weeks ago, and then yesterday hearing the sad news that you had lost your cherished husband, dad, and pepe. Such a sweet man, so loving, kind, with a winning personality and a sense of humour 2nd to none. You were a very fortunate family to have had the privilege of sharing your lives with him, and may you take consolation in knowing that he probably considered himself to be the luckiest man in the world to have such a wonderful family and be surrounded by the love of all of you right to the very end. Sending prayers, love & hugs to all of you.

Dear Aunt Barb, Shelley, John-Louis, Nicole, Paul and families, I was so saddened to hear of Uncle Louis' passing. I know the days ahead will be so difficult for you all. He was a good man, as the obituary so rightly says. Of the times we visited, he was so welcoming, with such a great smile and sense of humour. My thoughts go out to you. With love and prayers, Marion Perras (Tanner).
