LEVINE, Louis Peacefully, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, April 21, 2018, in his one hundred and third year. Husband of the late Dorrie Gottheil, and the late Rae. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Carol and Allan Levine, the late Dr. Jeffrey Levine, and the late Anita Levine. Cherished and proud grandfather of Bonnie Levine and Darren Yaphe, Doree Levine and Aubry Tager. Adored by his great-grandchildren, Jenna and Audra Yaphe; Cooper, Zachary and Jordyn Tager. Predeceased by his siblings and their spouses, Katie Abrams, Michael and Shirley Levine, Harry and Ruth Levine, Martha and Hymie Kamichik. Brother-in-law of Annie (Chickie) and the late Sam Harold, the late Betty and the late Al Ship, the late Lionel and the late Marion Gottheil, the late Saul and the late Doris Gottheil. He will be fondly remembered by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Heartfelt thanks to his devoted caregivers, Mely, Chaddy and Virgie, for their kindness and compassion, and to David, Chester, Dahlal, Roza and Alex, as well as Dr. Andrea Dolan and Dr. Michael Greenberg who treated Zaidie Lou with humanity. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Monday, April 23 at 1:00 p.m. Burial at the Ship Family Circle Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at his granddaughter's home. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, 1-800-378-2233, or to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, (514) 744-5537. He was a sweet and gentle man.

It has been a priviledge and a blessing to have not only taken care of Mr. Levine but to have gotten to know him in the process.
He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. We all should cherish his fruitful, enduring, and remarkable life. MAY HIS SOUL REST IN PEACE, AMEN!
