Louie, Friend...Brother. It's coming up on a year now and we truly miss your quick wit and your sense of humor. Many things have happened since your passing, but the one thing that keeps coming back is your memory and the short quips and jokes. You are sorely missed, but fondly remembered. Thank you for being the oldest brother and thank you for your guidance and counsel. God rest your soul and know we love you and Debbie very much.

I knew Luis through work, and his energy and dedication, especially in the face of his illness, was an inspiration to many. After moving on to another agency, I recently learned of his passing. My heart is breaking for his family. Sleep well, my friend. You will not be forgotten, and I hope many who had the pleasure and good fortune to know you will carry your spirit on and touch others as you touched them.

Louie and I were very good firends in Douglas. My mother-in-law was his 2nd grade teacher at Rose School in Tucson way back when he was a young boy. I was a reserve police officer for Douglas Police Department and Louie was one of my training officers. He, I, and officer Rick Clark hung out together off duty. Louie went on to work for the U.S. Marshalls office and I moved on to Bullhead City and finished my career in the fire service. Our lives were full back then with lots of joy. Louie will be missed by all. Our world has lost a wonderful man. Rest in peace my friend.

Debbie:
Lou was such a great guy and had such a kind heart. I will always cherish the memories of the many conversations we had about collecting and how excited he was when he found a new piece. I have no doubt that he is now resting with Jesus after his long and courageous battle. The world will just not be the same with out Lou!

Debbie and Extended familiy members; I was extremely saddened by the phone call advising me of Luis' death. Although our careers in Law Enforcement initially united us, Luis and I developed a lasting friendship and shared many laughs together. He was a true Man of God who touched lives and brought a smile to everyone's path he crossed. His Love of you, Debbie, was evident in the many stories he told of your estate sale adventures together. He never failed to show off his new found watch to me....I will miss Luis and our lunches together, but am honored to tell people he was my friend. God Speed My Brother. Kelly Pike (Tucson, AZ)
