To Lou's Family:
You already know what a fine person Lou was throughout his long, fulfilled life. I had the pleasure of playing several rounds of golf with Lou at Longmeadow Country Club, and every one of them was an enjoyable time. Always a gentleman, always smiling, Lou was a unique person. It is difficult to lose a man of his caliber, even though he had length of years. However, you may derive strength from knowing that he was a man who made his mark on the world.
Sincerely, Bill Fitzgerald.

Of all the delightful memories of Ginny and Lou through the years I smile when I think of two years ago when Lou arrived at Dartmouth at reunion time. There was no one from his class there but I was with Charles Spallino '43 and Charlie invited Lou to join our celebration.I believe one of Lou's daughters in law drove him to Dartmouth that day. What a delightful, cheerful, wonderful person Lou was and at 101 still sharp, happy, enthusiastic and kind. Barbara Bernard, Holyoke

Mr. Oldershaw was a business acquaintance of my dear father Denman Tom Kerns from Holyoke who passed away many years ago. I have nice memories of my Dad having very enjoyable evening phone conversations with Lou Oldershaw. He always looked forward to those calls. Although I was just a young girl at the time, I still remember my Dad speaking very highly of Lou as he called him. Nice to know Mr. Oldershaw had a long, active life and a loving family. May he Rest In Peace. Dorie Kerns Lucey
