For 19 years Lou was my neighbor. He has taught me many things from gardening to reloading. He has told me a life time of stories about people I didn't even know. He has also given me a life time of stories to tell. They all started the same way. My friend (Blah Blah) Hes dead now. He would tell his story. So after several years of hearing stories of his friends that have passed. I would tell him I don't want to be your friend Lou. Moral of the story Lou don't become your friend…. live longer. He would put a half grin on his face and shake his head. So any of his stories that started out that way at the end. I would always say sarcastically. That's just another reason to remind me not to be your friend. He would look at me and shake his head. Well I had a friend once …. A true friend… An honest friend. I won't tell you how my friend passed. I would rather tell you how my friend lived. My friend was Lou Panno. A man I called Pops.
