Louise Alice Irene Fisher

November 2 1950 - May 9 2025

In Loving Memory

Louise Alice Irene Fisher nee Williams passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025. Louise is together again with her late parents, Remona and Fred Williams sr.

Louise, affectionately called "Weezie" is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Bill Fisher, daughter Angela, grandchildren Nik and Leo, Niece Amy (Brandon), great niece and nephew Emily and Caden, her sisters Susan (Rob), Darlene (Chris), Karen (Joe), her brother Fred (Lois), and many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Louise was born on November 2, 1950 in Victoria BC and spent her childhood there with her siblings. She shared many memories of going fishing with her dad and working at the Canteen with her Aunties and Grandma.

In 1974, Louise met her husband Bill in Victoria, BC and they were married in 1975 in Mameo Beach, Alberta. Life brought them back to the west coast with their daughter in the 80's and they found themselves living on Gabriola where Louise ran a daycare for many years. They moved to Nanaimo in the early 90's and not long after, Louise continued her daycare work in her home.

Usually with children in tow, Louise could often be found at the beaches, parks, Value Village, or doing yard work. She was always busy and enjoyed serving and helping anyone in need.

Louise was a strong, Feisty, determined woman and when she received her terminal cancer diagnosis in October 2023, she didn't complain, she just faced what was before her and fought for 19 months. She was sassy and strong right until her last breath. She is very loved and will be missed terribly.

The Family would like to express gratitude to the care givers at the Palliative Unit at NRGH, as well as Nanaimo Hospice.

A tea will be held at a later date in her memory and any donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

I don´t believe we ever did meet Louise. I heard about you though and you raised your daughter to be a good mother and friend. Grateful that your family had you.
