Louise G. Garrity

GARRITY, LOUISE G. (COLARUSSO)
91, formerly of South Plainfield, NJ, passed away Sunday morning, October 1, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at the home of her daughter in Greer, South Carolina.
She was the beloved wife of the late James R. Garrity. Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Madeline (Contillo) Colarusso.
Mrs. Garrity was a homemaker and enjoyed time with her family. She also worked for ten years as a cashier at the Biltmore Hotel in Providence, RI. And in her retirement she enjoyed her part time job as a daycare teaching assistant.
She is survived by her children, Mary Garrity Troisi and her husband Bill of Greer, SC, Thomas J. Garrity of Robbinsville, NJ, Leonard J. Garrity and his wife Maureen of Titusville, NJ and Peter J. Colarusso and his wife Stella of Cranston; nine cherished grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Ann Carlson.
Her funeral will be held Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 at 10:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am in Immaculate Conception Church, Oaklawn Avenue, Cranston. Interment will be private in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting hours Friday 6:00-8:00 pm.
