Louise Jane Gunsolus Hall, Sept. 10, 1932–Jan. 6, 2022

STANWOOD, Wash. - Louise was born in in her parents' home in Sugartown, Great Valley, N.Y.

She graduated from Ten Broeck Academy, Franklinville, N.Y., in 1949. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a master's degree in home economics education from Buffalo (N.Y.) State Teachers College in 1953 and 1961, respectively.

Louise taught home economics in West Valley, N.Y., Delevan/Machias, N.Y., and for 22 years at her Alma Mater, Ten Broeck Academy. Louise loved teaching and has been remembered fondly by many of her former students and co-workers.

Louise is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert; their children, Roberta Hall of Olean, N.Y. and Michael (Laura) Hall of Olympia; granddaughters, Bethany (Jacob) Cathcart of Darrington, Ashley Hall of Warren, Vt. and Michaela (Jason) Lipps of Stanwood; and seven-plus great-grandchildren. She is also survived by sister, Ila Thayer of Surprise, Ariz.; and brother, Norman (Patricia) Gunsolus of Cattaraugus, N.Y.

Louise was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Gunsolus; mother, Thelma Huff Gunsolus; brother, Kenneth (Jutta) Gunsolus; sisters, Annamae Gunsolus and Ellen (Ralph) Kelly; and infant brother, Harold Gunsolus.

A memorial service was held, Friday, Jan. 21, 2022, at Warm Beach Free Methodist Church, in Stanwood.
