Louise J. HUNT

Louise Jordan Hunt, 89, of Harrisburg, PA born February 14, 1930, passed away Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Manson, NC and raised in the loving country farm home of the late Henrietta and Robert Jordan. She received her formal education in the Warren County Public Schools. Louise retired from the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System. She took immense pride in her home, flower/vegetable gardens, and grandchildren. Louise was an avid reader and a wonderful cook. In 1959, she was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She attended the Edgemont Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses until her health declined.
Louise is survived by her four daughters, Evelyn Louise and Alexis Hunt, Michele Denise Cooke (Ralph), and Felicia Manuel (Gary); two sons, Alexander, III (Ida) and Kevin Hunt (Crystal); three grandsons, Henry and Cedric Dickson and Alexander, IV, and two granddaughters, Danielle and Tiffany Hunt. She is also survived by two sisters, Gracie Scott and Ann Dortch; four brothers, Clarence, Robert, Lynn, and William Dortch, and a host of other relatives.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Betsy Green and Elizabeth Lofton, and two brothers, Frank Dortch and James, Jr.
Her family would like to thank her primary Hospice of Central Pennsylvania caregivers, Tasha and Michelle and nurses, Tammie and Samantha for the loving care they provided.
Memorial services were privately held at the convenience of the immediate family under the services provided by Zimmerman-Auer Funeral Home, Inc.
