Mr. King,
We are so very sorry to hear about Louise - she was such a wonderful person, nurse, mentor, and christian friend. I worked with her for many years at McLeod and enjoyed every minute of it. She taught me so much and we enjoyed many laughs as well as "smarties" (the candy). I am so glad I was able to talk to her a few weeks ago. Our thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time.

Louise King was the first "face of McLeod" that I ever saw. She was at a recruiting conference at USC College of Nursing in 1978. She handed me her card and said, "If you're interested in us, we're interested in you." I went to work at McLeod in May 1979 and was there for 23 years. In all those years, Louise was always the same. She was a stately portrait of the nursing profession, yet she was warm, friendly, loving, and treated everyone as a friend. I will never forget her. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember Mrs. King when I first began to work at McLeod Infirmary many many years ago. She was always a professional and I respected her. She was very special to both clincial and non clincal staff at the hospital. My prayers and thoughts are with the family.
