Louise Raney

Louise Ann - Marie Raney, 87, of Vernon, passed away quietly at home on Sunday, December 8, 2024, after a short illness.

Born on June 21, 1937, in Hartford, she was the loving daughter of the late Frank and Gladys (Gvara) Portelli.

Louise was formerly employed as an assistant manager by the Payless Shoe Source.

A woman that everyone called ma, gramma or gram-gram, she always welcomed everyone into her home as if they were family.

Louise had a true love of animals and a heart of gold. No one would go hungry at her home, not even the turkeys, raccoons, squirrels or any other wild animal in the neighborhood.

We will all be lost without her.

Louise is survived by her four children, Debra Connelly of El Paso TX, Roberta Fantasia-Solano of Vernon, Stephen Raney and husband Allen Stone Jr. of Vernon, Robin Morra and fiancé Richard Pruneau of Manchester; her grandchildren, Angela Britton, Rachael Vanderburg, Sherrine Fantasia, Brittany Featherstone, Taylor Woods, Jesse Solano, Scott Waterman, Shane Boudreau, Thomas Raney Jr, Tylor Raney, Brianna Roque, Ronald Klett Jr., as well as several great-grandchildren and even a great-great grandchild.

She was predeceased by her son, Thomas Raney.

All are welcome to join her family for a Celebration of Life held at the Carmon Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave, Windsor, CT, 06095 on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. until 4 p.m.
