Lou... you'll never be forgotten and I miss you everyday... I'll see you in heaven. Something is missing everyday... I know you are in Peace. Missing my friend you Lou! Sandra

February 2, 2011

My family and Lou go a long way back. When I was in elementary school, Lou and her sister Anne lived in the upstairs of our house (Annie & Max Martzas) on 7th Ave. W. There she met Herman, Uncle Herman, as we called him, who was a friend of the family. Lou worked at the Tea Kettle Inn as well as the Carolina restaurant. She hired my Mother, Annie, to work at the Carolina and hired me to work on weekends when I was in high school. She would always sit me down and make me eat something before I started my shift. We loved her laugh which was aways so 'jolly'. One would like to run up to her and give her a big hug. Never heard her complain, "that's life," she would say. She was a great friend to my Mother and a loving and kind-hearted lady to all. I can see her now saying, "Annie, I knew I would find you here." She will be remembered with many fond memories. I've been truly blessed to have shared her friendship. I never recall a moment spent with her that she didn't laugh or make me laugh, and others around her. I will surely and dearly miss her outlook on life, her grace, simplicity, and amazing warmth of her genuine loving heart. You're in the loving arms of sweet Jesus...I will always miss you Louise. Thank you for teaching me to smile more at life and to enjoy every moment! Your friend, love Sandra
