Louise Volgyi Obituary
Sierra Vista, AZ. Born in Mala, Peru, she came to Chicago in 1958 to work as a nurse at Ravenswood Hospital. There she met her husband of 52 years, Frank Volgyi who had emigrated to Chicago after the Hungarian revolution of 1956. She was an exceptional and dedicated nurse for over forty years, at Ravenswood and Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. In retirement she loved tending her large flower and cactus garden.
She is predeceased by her husband Frank, son Frank Jr., parents and four siblings. Louise is survived by her daughter, Anita (Gedas) Grinis of Kenosha, WI, and granddaughters Annamaria (Joseph) Berenz of Chicago and Cecilia Grinis (Noah Fredel fianc?) of Madison, WI. Memorials to Misericordia Home, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and St. Michael in Old Town are appreciated. Services have been held.
