Louise Volpe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 16, 2019.
Louise Flora Volpe, 91, passed away on Valentine's Day, February 14th, 2019, peacefully and surrounded by loved ones.

She was born on June 4, 1927, in Auburn, NY. It was there that she met her future husband, Frank Joseph Volpe.

Louise came from a humble background. She was part of a large family that often had trouble making ends meet. Times were hard but Frank vowed to give her a better life. He moved across the country, to Burbank, CA with the goal of making enough money for them to start a life together. In 1950 he sent for her and they were married on Thanksgiving Day. Their love was strong and true and lasted a lifetime.

Louise and Frank had two children. Janice Rose Volpe, born February 25, 1954, and Peter Stephan Volpe, born May 12, 1961. In 1973 they lost their beloved son, and in 2014 she lost her beloved Frankie boy.

Louise is survived by her daughter, Janice Rose Volpe; her granddaughters, Nadirah Volpe and Erion Volpe Taylor; and her great-grandchildren, Stephan Peter Taylor II, Gianna Rose Taylor, and Josephine Eloise Taylor.

Louise was a strong woman. She endured hardships and grief but always found the strength and courage to persevere. Although quiet and reserved at times, underneath that exterior was a sweetness and love in its purest form. She will be remembered for her dedication and commitment to her family. We will never forget her strength through adversity and her example of endurance. May she Rest In Peace, finally carefree, into her husband and son's loving embrace.
