FORT WAYNE, IND. — Loyde Clayton "Clay" Kaiser Jr., 80, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015 , at his home with his wife by his side.
Born May 7, 1935, in Milwaukee, Wis., he was a son of the late Loyde and Vianna (Johnson) Kaiser. A graduate of Oberlin High School, Loyde proudly served in the U.S. Air Force for nine years. He was a self-employed contractor and was a judo instructor for more than 30 years. Loyde enjoyed collecting stamps, guns, and knives.
Surviving are his loving wife of 54 years, Karen (nee Willbond) Kaiser of Fort Wayne; son, Ian Kevin (Tabatha) Kaiser of Fort Wayne; daughter, Kristen Shaw of Walcottville, Ind.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters Patricia (Bob) Fraunfelder and Kathy (John) Knipper, both of Oberlin, Ohio. He was also preceded in death by his son, Kurtis Kaiser; and sister, Judy Blong.
A memorial service was held Friday, July 24 at Advantage Funeral Home, Fort Wayne, with inurnment at Highland Park Cemetery at a later date.
