Lucienne Rossignol Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 5, 2018.
LEWISTON: Lucienne Rossignol, 86, of Lewiston passed away peacefully on January 4, 2018 at Montello Manor in Lewiston. She was born in Frenchville, ME on March 23, 1931 a daughter of the late Adelard and Anna ( Dubois ) Bouchard. She grew up in the Frenchville area and attended local schools there. At a young age, she moved with her family to Lewiston where she would permanently reside. On May 27, 1950, she married Joseph Rossignol at St. Mary's Church in Lewiston and they started a family together. During that time Lucienne worked at Bonneau's Supermarket and later owned and operated Rossi's Market with her husband Joseph. Later on she worked at St. Croix Credit Union as a bank teller until her retirement. Lucienne will always be remembered for her love of wanting to spend quality time with all members of her family. She was especially passionate about attending and hosting family gatherings. Traveling was also something that she really enjoyed, especially to areas of Florida and her old roots in northern Maine. She liked going to the casino and playing the slots from time to time as well. She will be deeply missed by many. She is survived by her four children; Daniel Rossignol and his fiancée Kathy Shaw of Malta, NY, Dudley Rossignol and his wife Susanne of Litchfield, David Rossignol and his wife Sandra of Greene and Donald Rossignol and his wife Catherine of Litchfield. She also leaves behind her sister, Tillie Croteau of Florida, her brother, Roland Bouchard and his wife Jackie of Auburn, her eight grandchildren; Sonya, Jason, Jayme, Jared, Sarah, Katie, Benjamin and Samantha, her eleven great-grandchildren, her former daughter-in-law and special friend, Dolores Mousseau and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Joseph Rossignol in 2006, her brother, Rosaire Bouchard and two grandchildren, Travis Rossignol and Kent Bader. The family wishes to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Montello Manor in Lewiston and Jaime Lewis from Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice for their unconditional devotion and care to Lucienne in the time that she was there. Condolences may be shared with the family at www.thefortingrouplewiston.com Visiting hours will be held at Fortin\Lewiston on Wednesday January 10, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday January 11, 2018 at 11am at Holy Cross Church in Lewiston followed by committal prayers at St. Peter's Cemetery also in Lewiston.

Aunt Lou was second only to my dad on the priority list to visit when I returned to Maine. She was a beautiful light, always a ray of sunshine. She wore the love of family and her devotion to the Blessed Mother like a halo here on earth. I have little doubt that she is now in good company wearing a heavenly halo, where all pain is gone, where there is no fear and no sorrow. To you my godmother now in heaven please pray for those of us left behind here on earth without you. Our hearts are sad.
The Grigsby family sends our heartfelt condolences to the entire Rossignol family from Florida

I dont know what to say except that i love you. I cant understand exactly how you feel, but God does and will keep raising you up. I hope that our prayers will help a little. I understand times like this can be full of anxieties and stress but remeber god is a God of comfort. 1pet5:7 says you can throw your burdens on him because he cares and he will sustain you. I hope this helps with your loss.
