Delma Torres Hill

Delma Torres HillCorpus Christi, TXDelma Torres Hill, born December 18, 1927, entered into Eternal Peace on December 1, 2013. She is preceded in death by her husband, Sam S. Hill Jr., and her son, James. She leaves behind her five children: Dr. Sam (Betty) Hill III of Corpus Christi, Texas, John (Leslie) Hill of Bellingham, Washington, Jane Hill Brown and Steven Royce of Corpus Christi, Texas, Clifton (Michelle) Hill of Mandeville, Louisiana and Dr. William (Laura) Hill. She had 19 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. Delma had many friends; two of her dearest friends who brought joy to her life are Jo Brock of Rockport, Texas and Rick Devine of San Francisco, California. Delma was born in Tampa (Ybor City), Florida and while in nurse's training, she met the love of her life and spent 22 years as a Navy wife. Delma held various jobs but her constant occupation was managing baseball fields for all sorts of leagues. In truth, Delma loved baseball, and she always supported her team. She had been a Cubby fan and a Texas Rangers fan as well. Her family will dearly miss her presence as she was dedicated to all of their lives and their well-being. A private service with her children will be held at Seaside Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation in Delma Hill's name to Driscoll Children's Hospital.
