Sister Maurice was my Daddy's sister and I grew up knowing her only as a happy and joyful nun. I always think of her and Sister Vincent in one thought. She went into the convent when I was little and my first memory of her was when they came to visit my Grampa and Grandma on the farm. She always sent birthday cards and Christmas cards and remembered the sweet baby Jesus. It is only fitting that she went to meet Him on his birthday. What a sweet and wonderful lady she was...full of joy and happiness and would literally give the clothes off her back to someone who needed them worse than she. Will miss you Sister Maurice. I love you.

My Dear Aunt Sister Maurice was a very beautiful and "spunky" lady that I will treasure forever in my heart! She was very loving by nature and had the most beautiful singing voice! She always called me by my nickname "Petunia"! She was very good about writing letters and cards every year for Christmas and birthdays, and remembered everyone by name in her letters! I will miss her and her laughter!Happy "graduation day" Sister Maurice!! I love you!!!

Sister Maurice is my Aunt and I have so many fond and beautiful memories . She was also a fellow Oblate Missionary in Mexico soon after I was there as a medical missionary with the Oblate Priests of Mary Immaculate. We shared many special times in talking about our adventures. She was a very uplifting, happy and most spiritual person I met the priest with whom she worked in Mexico City and took him a set of eating utensils one year at her request. She was so excited for him to receive this gift. She worked as a Missionary in Moro Masatan, Mexico, and experienced the very hot and very humid weather there and still loved being there and worked with Father Gerry Kapustka, OMI, while there. I always loved her positivity and happy nature and loved her wonderful spirituality. She was extremely in love with Jesus .
I will miss her visits and happy face and her beautiful singing voice. She sent me birthday cards every year and even called me on my cell phone to wish me happy birthdays, Olivia Pacheco Huggins, Niece, Atlanta , Georgia.
