Lucille (Lucy) Staples McBride, 69, of Grand Junction, Colorado passed away at Saint Mary's hospital on September 1, 2023. Lucy was born to Wallace and Ruth staples on August 24, 1954, in Rapid City, SD. After Lucy graduated from Delta High School in 1972, she went on to study tourism at Mesa State College. In 1975 Lucy met her husband, Ted, in Grand Junction, Colorado. Lucy and Ted married on February 15, 1976, and went on to have three children Brian, Angela, and Teresa. Lucy was preceded by her parents, Wallace and Ruth Staples, and sister Margo. She is survived by her husband Ted, children Brian (Kelly), Angela (Carl), and Teresa, grandchildren Kaycee, Stephanie, Rickie, Tyler, Abigail, Elena, great grandchild, Christopher, and her siblings Paul, Joe, and Mary. Services will be held at Pear Park Baptist Church 3102 E Rd, Grand Junction, Co on September 16, 2023, at 10AM. Graveside: Palisade Cemetery 3529 Front Street, Palisade at 12 noon.

Very saddened to hear of the loss of Lucy. She was a wonderful lady. I worked with her many years ago. I know that she rests in the arm of Jesus right now. My condolences to her family.
