Lucy Bowers Obituary
Ms. Bowers is survived by four sons; Lawrence Donavan Bowers and Kenneth Melvin Bowers of Liberty Hill, Rubin S. Bowers of Highlands, N.C., and Leamon Douglas Carroll of Stallings, N.C.; six daughters, Sarah Lucille Scott, Ruby Taylor and Patricia Brewer of Charlotte, Eveleen Y. Avant of Harrisburg, N.C., Reba Taylor of Cashiers, N.C. and Arlene B. Gault of Stallings; 18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
A memorial service for Ms. Bowers is 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 29, at McEwen Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. The family would like to extend their gratitude to her caregivers Jessica Josey, Jordan Kaminer and Hawa Adamu.
Memorials may be made to Presbyterian Hospice & Palliative Care or a charity of choice.

My heart was saddened when I learned of Aunt Lucy's passing. She was one of my favorite aunts of all time. I know she is dancing around in heaven with all her mama & daddy and all of her beloved brothers and sisters especially my mama Kate. Love to all her kids. Pat
