Lucy Maturani Obituary
Our beloved mother, Lucy Maturani, 97, of Endicott, NY passed away peacefully at home on April 1 , 2016. She was born Lucia Elena Di Natale in Milton, PA on March 31, 1919, to parents Joseph and Maria who had emigrated from Abruzzi, Italy. She married Alfred Maturani in 1940 and moved to Endicott. She joined St. Anthony of Padua Church, Endicott, where she was a member of the St. Ann Society and Catholic Daughters. She was a former employee of Burt's Department Store. She was a homemaker who loved providing a beautiful home and wonderful meals for the family, especially during the holidays. She was called "Aunt Lucy" by many. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred; her sisters, Vitalina Maturani, Angelina Di Rocco and Edith Alimonti as well as their husbands; brother-in-law, John Maturani; niece, Linda Di Rocco; grand-niece, Jane Reedy and nephew, John Maturani. She is survived by her son, Rick Maturani, her son, Ron (Marilyn) Maturani; her nephews, Joseph (Nancy) Maturani, Gene (Shirley) Maturani, Joseph (Virgie) Di Rocco, Jr. and Victor Alimonti; her nieces, Rose Reedy, Marie Ford, Renee (Joseph) Preisser, and Rosemary (Thomas) Bradley; her grand-nieces, Kelly Bradley and Carmen Schmitt; her grand-nephew, William Ford, Jr., and many more extended family. The family thanks Jean and Ann for their home care and Lourdes Hospice. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 306 Odell Avenue, Endicott, NY on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 12:00PM with visitation beforehand at the church from 11:00AM-12:00PM. Entombment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Johnson City, NY, beside beloved Alfred Maturani.

My sincere sympathy to the Maturani family. I lived next door to Edith and Vic Alimonti for many years. It was a pleasure. I am sorry that I was not able to attend the viewing. My sympathy also to Renee, Rosemary and Victor and their families.

Dear Ronny and Ricky,
We go back a very long way to the house we shared on Odell Avenue. I have many fond memories of the years we spent there together with an open staircase and an unlocked doorway between our apartments. Your immediate family and your Milton, PA, family will always be a cherished part of my life. Your mother was a beautiful person. I carry you all in my heart.
