Luis Lantigua Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 26, 2014.
Luis Rafael Lantigua was born on October 12, 1965 in Bayamon P.R. He was the oldest of three children. He grew up in Beacon, New York. He was survived by his wife, Yulibeth Lantigua (Yuli), his son, Luis Lantigua, Jr. (Pipo) and his daughter, Yannabel Lantigua (Yani). Luis also left behind his father, Reynaldo Lantigua, mother, Migdalia Lantigua and two sisters, Sheila Lantigua Clark and Marilyn Garcia.
Luis received his MBA from the University of Phoenix in 2005 and we were all very proud of his accomplishments. He worked at Sears since 1997. Luis was promoted several times during his career at Sears, which also meant he moved several times. His first promotion took him from Florida to Georgia. His second promotion took him to Colorado. His last promotion led him to being the District Manager in Seattle Washington in January of this year.
Luis enjoyed working at Sears. Those who worked for him and with him loved him too. His ultimate goal was to eventually come back to Florida, where he could be close to his parents, sisters and children. Luis never complained. Somehow, he always looked at the positive side to things. Luis was a great football player in high school. After high school, he enjoyed playing softball, a sport he learned from his dad. Years later, while continuing to play softball, he met his wife, Yuli, while playing softball in Panama. Luis also enjoyed watching boxing and spending time with his son, whom he was very proud of. And of course, there is Yanni, his little girl. She would always be his little girl.
Luis truly leaves behind a family who loved him so much and who believes that he is in heaven rejoicing with the angels.

Luis Lantigua… A son, brother, father, husband and friend of God.

OMG I just heard about this and I am speechless. Luis was the best manager ever. I worked for him when he was just a Refrigeration supervisor at Sears-WinterPark,FL, what an incredible human being. He was always a friendly, approachable person and very professional. My most sincere condolences to this good family, knowing now that his dad Rey has passed too. Hope the whole family can find the comfort they need for this huge loss. You both will be remembered

My beautiful brother. It's been almost a year since we lost you. And I still miss you so much. Not sure why I'm writing this here. I guess I just came across this and had to express my feelings.

I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of Luis. I worked with him through Sears Commercial Sales in Atlanta and stayed in touch with him through Colorado and Seattle. Luis left a lasting impression wherever he was. He made a great impact on this organization and I considered him a friend. If I was in a bind and it was after hours here on the East Coast, I could call Luis for advice. He was always willing to assist and do anything he could for the good of our customers. We have truly lost a good friend. May God bring you comfort as only He can. Many prayers for the entire Lantigua family.

Yulibeth and Lantigua Family,
With sympathy on the loss of Luis.
Every day you will miss him...But I hope that every day you will feel new peace, strength and insights in the feelings & memories that show he is with you still.
His life is his legacy, his love was his gift to you...and your memories of him are the comfort you'll keep in your heart forever.
Luis, has the biggest heart of anyone I have ever met. It's like we were instant friends. He called me his sister and he definitely treated me as such. My heart hurts for him and he will surely be missed. I still can't believe he is gone.

Yuli, You and the family are in my thoughts and prayers.
