Las Vegas, NV - It is with a very heavy heart that we his daughters announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Luis F. Munoz, age 85 of Las Vegas, NV previously from Anthony, NM passed away surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was born in Ysleta, TX to Nicolas and Ysabel Munoz. Those left to mourn his passing include his 3 daughters: Belinda Salcido (Johnny) Las Vegas, NV, Darlene Ortiz (Ruben) Santa Teresa, NM, Bernice Saenz (Rene) Las Vegas, NV, 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Other survivors include 6 brothers: Salvador Munoz, San Antonio, TX, Nicolas, Matilde, Raul and Hector Munoz all of Las Cruces, NM and Rodolpho Murphy, El Paso, TX 5 sisters: Anna Chavez, Long Beach, CA, Gloria Munoz, Olga Legarreta, Yolanda Gonzales and Estella Bernal all of Las Cruces, NM as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Edelia E. Munoz, 2 brothers, Espiridion (Pete) Munoz, Roberto Munoz and his parents who he missed and spoke fondly of Espiridion & Juanita Munoz.
He had a heart of gold and placed others' needs before his. He was a loving and dedicated father and grandfather. He loved to play his guitar and sing. He captivated his family's attention with stories of his youth and the love of his life, his daughters and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.
On Friday, February 25, 2022, in honor of his request, he will be cremated, after his funeral mass, interment of cremains will take place in Las Vegas, NV at Palms Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery.
Service arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palms Northwest Mortuary and Cemetery, 6701 N. Jones Blvd, Las Vegas, Nevada 89131, (702) 646-8460.
