I got to know Luke when he was a student at the Harvard Kennedy School. He was such a kind soul and a bright light (not to mention incredibly brilliant!). I always enjoyed our conversations and will never forget how positive he remained even after being given such a tough diagnosis. RIP, Luke.

Tom, Barbara and Georgia - Our hearts are broken. Many mornings I woke to hear Luke shooting hoops in the alley - it was a beautiful sound track to our lives as parents in MB. I cannot believe your precious boy is gone. The Beck family sends love and prayers. Victoria and Marty Beck Charlie, Katie and Danny

Our daughter Jamie went to pre-school with Luke at Creative Kids. He was actually one of the only boys from school that was invited to one of her very young birthday parties at Live Oak Park. She and Luke were very good friends at 5!! Although they never crossed paths again because of different schools after that, I would occasionally see Tom at downtown Vons, or Steve would see him while out running, or around town, etc. We are completely heartbroken for you all to read in the Beach Reporter that he has passed away. So very young, and such a bright and promising life ahead of him. We cannot imagine the pain you must be going through, but wanted to express our deepest sympathies. You and all of his family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,
Peggy & Steve Nisen

Barbara, Tom and Georgia
We send you our deepest condolences on the loss of Luke. Our daughter Breanna was a classmate of Georgia's way back when. We lost our 30 year old son, Justin, a year and a half ago under different circumstances but regardless we know the pain of loosing a child. We hope your many memories bring you comfort.

I am so sorry for your great loss. May the God who "binds up the brokenhearted" and "comforts all who mourn" (Isaiah 61:1, 2) sustain your family during this challenging time. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.
