Lupe Yates

Lupe was an amazing woman. We will always remember her wonderful smile, the twinkle in her eye, and the warmth of her loving heart. She has touched so many of us with her caring ways and will be missed dearly. She brought sunshine on the dreariest of days. What a joy and blessing to have her count you as a friend! May God hold her family in his strong arms through the days ahead.

To paraphrase the song: Now that you've got to where you're goin'
And you've seen your maker's face,
You can stand forever,
in the light,
of His Amazing Grace.

I met Lupe in July 1996, she was my first dispatcher, being as green as they came she was quick to help me, correct me and be a life sent person in need. I all ways said yes sir to her, not because I had to but because she earned every little bit of it. I will truly miss you Lupe, and you will never hear me ask for another LP on a Studerbaker again.

I met Lupe one day 5 or 6 years ago through Tammy i stopped at the department to say hello and was introduced to Lupe she treated me like she had known me all her life that day. she was kind, funny,stern ,and truly amazing watching them work, after that first meeting she has always been so sweet and wonderful to me and caring you could tell her anything and she never passed judgment on you.she was honest and loving to everyone that i witnessed . Mrs. Lupe thank you for your friendship you will be missed my friend .

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived.

I will always remember your smile and the way you could make me laugh even when it was a bad day. You took special care of us while we patrolled to help us stay safe. You were more than a friend, you were family. You will be missed but never forgotten.

I only had the pleasure of meeting Lupe once but she welcomed me in her home and treated me as if she had known me a lifetime. She will absolutely be missed by many. My heart goes out to her family and all who cared for her.

Was very sad to hear about Lupe.. I have known her most of my life and she will be greatly missed...

I was so sad to hear of Lupe's passing, she was a wonderful lady. She scolded me from time to time like the did other officers but she did that because she cared for us all like we were her kids and she wanted us safe. Lupe made sure that everyone was alright and when you started your shift and Lupe was on the radio you just knew that your back was covered. I think it's fair to say that Lupe was an iconic figure and voice in law enforcement in Angelina County. I just wanted her family to know that she meant a lot to a lot of people. RIP my friend.

Lupe, you will be greatly missed.
