Lupita Rodriguez, 86, of Salisbury Township, died Monday, July 30, in Cedarbrook Nursing Home, Fountain Hill Annex. Born in McAllen, Texas, she was the daughter of the late Steven and Conception (Buitrion) Ayala. Lupita was a seamstress at the former Atkins Shirt Factory for five years before becoming a nanny to the familys children. She was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Pauls Roman Catholic Church, Allentown, as well as the charity organization, Golden Hearts Club. Survivors: Sister, Ernestina Kulp with whom she formerly resided; nephews, Louis Kulp of Allentown, Keith Kulp and wife Margaret of Northampton; nieces, Michelle Zarum and husband Phil of Seattle, Sharon McDermott and husband Carlos of Pottsville; nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Anthony Ayala and a nephew, Douglas Kulp. Services: To be held 11 a.m., Friday, at the K.V. Knopp Funeral Home, Inc., 46 E. Susquehanna Street, Allentown. Friends and family may call 10 a.m. until time of service in the funeral home. The K.V. Knopp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
