LUPITA GARCIA SOSA

Lupita Garcia Sosa, 72 entered into eternal rest on July 30, 2014 in Brownsville, Texas, surrounded by her loving family at home.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 29 years, Jose Jesus Sosa; her loving parents, Fernando and Maria Garcia; her two brothers, Fernando Garcia Jr. and Fausto Garcia.

She is survived by her three children, Paul Cantu III (Deidren), Debbie Sue (Abel) Morales, and Cynthia Ann (Joe) Villarreal; eight grandchildren, Jessica Cruz, Marc Guerrero, Laurel, Heather, Carissa and Hollie Cantu; Shawnnah and Kassandra Villarreal; three great grandchildren, Natalie Cruz, Victor Moncada, and Jayden Villarreal; her siblings, Israel Garcia (Delia+), Irene Cano (Jesus+), Janie Korteway (Richard), Roberto Garcia (Dora), Carlos Garcia (Isabel), Ramiro Garcia (Zulema), and Mary Lou Sciacca (Jack), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Aug. 1, 2014, with a recitation of the Holy Rosary to be conducted at 6 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Buena Vista.

Mass will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, followed by committal service at Buena Vista Burial Park.

Pallbearers will be Paul Cantu III, Marc Guerrero, Abel Morales, Joe Villarreal, and her brothers Israel, Carlos, Ramiro and Roberto Garcia.

We would like to thank Gracia Hospice Care staff for all their tremendous support. We would also like to thank her caregivers, Maria Sosa, Reyna Ramirez and Isabel Perales.
