Lydia Fiesel Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 28, 2024.
Fiesel, Lydia Anne, entered eternal heaven on February 27, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on October 26, 2002, in Woodbury, Minnesota, Lydia brought joy to many, and she was beloved by all who knew her. Over the years Lydia faced many challenges but overcame them all with resiliency and grace. Her smile and laughter warmed the heart, and she is dearly missed. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Jill LeBlanc, and she is survived by her parents, Troy Fiesel (Kacia Engel) and Kimberly Hamm (Tom); stepbrother Cooper Hamm; grandparents Curt and Mary Lou Fiesel and Ron and Becky LeBlanc; aunts Christy Drager (Steve) and Jennifer Miranda (Byron); and beloved cousins Justine, Audrey, Sadie, Jacob, Conner, and Madeline.

A celebration of Lydia's life will be held Saturday, March 9, at Calvary Church, Roseville Campus, 2120 Lexington Ave. N.: visit with family and friends starting at 10 am, service at 11 am, and reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Children's Minnesota Foundation (give.childrensmn.org), that the care they offered Lydia may continue to bless other families.

This is my favorite memory of Liddy. She absolutely lit up the room when interacting with her family. Such a huge hole she leaves here on earth but her radiance shines on us from heaven!

I drove Lydia for many years to school
She always had a smile on her face. When she would see the bus come down the road her hands would start shaking. I loved her. Rest in peace and fly with the Angels. I will always have you in my mind

Troy, Kim, Curt and Mary Lou,

The memories we have of Lydia are countless. I even remember Kim pregnant and baby Lydia . Her health challenges taken in stride with the love given and received from your precious girl.

We remember her countless times at church. You were so proud to bring your granddaughter to our sweet church and always a joy to have her among us. She was only a year younger than our daughter and was in and part of the intergenerational fun we would have.

We remember her getting her cool chair (I think it was purple).

I remember her up at Rice Lake Elementary and I would stop and "chat" with her. She would often respond as she recognized me.

Words cheapen anything said. We know you know she is Gods precious and perfect girl. She enriched every life she touched. She was loved and cared for so deeply by her family and way beyond.

She made this world a sweeter place to be.

May God´s sweet comfort fill you with a uncomprehending peace.

Our deepest sympathies.

Love,
Jeff, Wendy, Amelia and Nick Nelson

Dear Troy, Kimberly, Curt and Mary Lou

It was with great sadness that we heard of the loss of your beautiful daughter Lydia. Lydia was invaluable in strengthening the bonds between her family, relatives and our neighbors. We believe it was a gift given to her and a role given to her. Whenever and wherever we are, we will never forget her.

Our family send you love and want you to know our thoughts are with you.

Sincerely,
Keiichi, Junko, Julia and Maria Morikawa

I didn´t ever meet Lydia in person, but through the years I´ve been blessed to see her sweet countenance and her lovely smile in photographs.
I remember when Lydia was born and even when she was little, her great grandmother Joyce would tell me how sweet and gentle she was.
I am looking forward to meeting Lydia in heaven.

We have a wonderful memory of meeting Liddy and seeing how much love she was given by the family. Kim, Troy, Kasia, my brother Curt and Mary Lou- well done thou good and faithful servants!
Last summer when visiting Minnesota for my brother Ronnie´s surprise birthday, Troy and Kasia had us for brunch at their beautiful home and Kim brought Liddy. Grandpa Curt had lovingly talked about her for years and we wanted to meet her. At first Liddy wouldn´t look at me, who is this person was in her face (she could express everything in that beautiful face and eyes) but finally I had eye contact and a look of ok my family likes you, I will too. What a wonderful time with the Fiesel family and a beautiful memory! Our heart goes out to you all, wish we could be there to celebrate Liddy´s life and graduation. We get to see her again and I know her Great Grandparents and my folks were waiting for her. You know they are talking about us and that wonderful day last summer. Prayers and love sending your way.
