MERRIMAC — Lyman Martin "Tinker" Biggart, 80, of Merrimac, died Friday, March 12, 2010 at Holy Family Hospital in Methuen.
Born in Saugus, Oct. 18, 1929, he was the son of the late Francis and Eva (McLaughlin) Biggart. A proud veteran of the Korean War, he served with the United States Army from Jan. 26, 1951 until his honorable discharge on Dec. 9, 1953 with the rank of Corporal. He was a life member and Commander of Lorraine Post 29, VFW of Haverhill, Carl Davis Post 34, American Legion of Plaistow, N.H. and the Amvets Post 147 of Haverhill.
For many years, Mr. Biggart was a custodian at the former Bradford College in Bradford.
His survivors include his longtime companion, Donna Rogers of Merrimac; five children, Paul Biggart and wife Cecilia of Hampstead, N.H., Sean Biggart and wife Jeanne of Reading, Michael Biggart and wife Rene of Haverhill, Maureen Biggart of Mill Valley, Calif. and Eva Brady of West Newbury; five grandchildren; four sisters, Frances Foss of Merrimac, Dorothy Noble of California, Nancy Bachelder and husband Leonard of Merrimac and Barbara Urquhart and husband Fred of Maine; a brother, William Biggart and wife Roberta of Haverhill; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Samuel and Robert Biggart.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours at Paul C. Rogers & Sons Family Funeral Home, 334 Main St., Haverhill, will be Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services at the funeral home will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Lorraine Post 29, VFW, 64 Kenoza Ave., Haverhill, MA 01830. Online condolences may be made to www.paulcrogers.com.

Hey guys,
Sorry about your dad & sorry I could'nt be there,But your all in my prayers. I'll always remember your Dad walking us to the lake on those hot summer days back in the 60's ( how time flies! )
