May 5, 1968 - January 9, 2025
Lynda Marie Gill Ficarra Farnon of Tempe, Arizona, formerly of Dorchester, Massachusetts, passed away suddenly in Arizona on January 9, 2025. She was the wife of Timothy Farnon also formerly from Dorchester, and the late Stephen Ficarra of Dorchester. Loving mother to Corinne and Gillian Ficarra. Beloved daughter to Cornelia (Connie) Gill and the late John (Jack) P. Gill of Dorchester. Cherished sister to Mary Gill Merna and her husband, Richard Merna, Jr., and John Gill and his wife, Christy Altinian Gill. Beloved aunt and godmother to Richard (Ricky/RJ) Merna of Quincy and aunt to Colin and Sean Gill of Franklin. Lynda is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
Lynda grew up in Dorchester, Massachusetts, where she had a strong family and friend group. She attended St. Mark's Grammar School, Monsignor Ryan Memorial High School and Aquinas Jr. College. Wanting to get away from the winters, she moved her family to Arizona, where she raised her two amazing daughters.
She was the most encouraging mom, fun-loving sister and aunt and an amazing friend who will forever be greatly missed. Lynda always was up for a laugh and a great time. One of her favorite memories was when our family was on the Family Feud in 2004 when the show flew us out to California. Heaven gained a true angel. It was Heaven's win and our unfortunate loss. Until we meet again. "May the road rise to meet you, May the wind be always at your back..."
Please join us in celebrating Lynda's life on February 22, 2025 at the Tirrell Room, 254 Quarry Street, Quincy MA from 1:00 pm-4:00 pm.
