Lynn Bader Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Dec. 15, 2023.
Lynn Neil Bader, 69, originally from Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in his home on December 3, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. Lynn was an amazing husband and best friend, known for his loyalty, dependability, and quick wit. He had a quiet demeanor in group settings until he got to know you, but his sense of humor never failed to keep everyone amused.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife, Martha Steiner Bader, and his brother, Doug Lake (Constance) and sister, Tracy Bader Bucossi (Mike). He is also survived by his aunt, Catherine Doss, and numerous nieces and nephews (Charlie Lake, Crystal Storms, Michael Lake, Tanya Johnson, Brandon Gotfredson, Dana DeAngelis, Devin Bucossi, Jake Goad, Meghan Goad, and Luke Goad), and living in laws. Lynn was preceded in death by his father Neil Bader, his mother Sue (Doss) Bader, his brother James Lake, his nephew Doug Lake, along with many deceased aunts and uncles.

Lynn attended Glenrock High School and went on to have a fulfilling career in the oil field. He spent many decades working for Baker Hughes, starting as a Directional Driller, later a Coordinator before transitioning to sales. Lynn's work took him to various remote locations both domestically and internationally, including Alaska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, Nigeria, Italy, and Scotland. He cherished the relationships he built throughout his career and often entertained others with amusing stories of his adventures.

In his youth, Lynn was an active Boy Scout and enjoyed spending time with his neighborhood friends, particularly engaging in hunting and fishing activities. He also had fond memories of summers spent at his grandparents' Bader ranch in Ten Sleep, WY, where fishing off "The Bridge" became a favorite pastime. Lynn had a passion for Harley Davidson motorcycles and followed NASCAR races closely with Jeff Gordon his all time favorite driver. Fall Saturdays were for college football and he enjoyed cheering on the University of Tennessee.

As per Lynn's wishes, no service will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Mollie's Cat Place (molliescatplace.org), Beaumont Pets Alive (beaumontpetsalive.org), Blue Horse Sanctuary (bluehorsesanctuary.org), or any preferred charity of choice.

Lynn Neil Bader will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all those whose lives he touched throughout his remarkable journey. May his memory live on in our hearts forever.

Back in 2014, Tennessee was playing OU in Norman. Martha had a horse show going on at the same time near Norman and they combined trips and came over to the game with us. As it happened the OU ponies, Boomer & Sooner were being stabled at the same place as the horse show. Lynn made sure to put a Tennessee hat on the horses and get a some pictures. A great guy, we had so much fun and many laughs together.
