Lynn DUNCAN Obituary
With broken hearts we announce that Lynn passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on July 7th, 2013 at the age of 49. Lynn fought a mighty and courageous battle with cancer over the past few years. Cherished wife of Bill and adoring mother of Emily. Loving daughter of Walter and Frances Williams of St. John's, NL. Dear sister of Sandy Williams (Darcy Keenan) and Lori Cook (Stewart). Loving sister-in-law to Maureen (Rick), Mark (Marlene) and aunt to Duncan (Jen), Shawn (Tori), Christin and Kim. Her greatest treasure was her Emily and time spent with family and friends. Lynn
worked at Alcatel-Lucent and prior to that Nortel Networks. Lynn had a deep love of life and her kindness touched all those
who met her. Special thanks to Doctors Jonker, Gilbert, Bimji, Morrin and their
teams for their exceptional care. Friends are invited to a celebration of Lynn's life at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore Drive and Baseline Road), Nepean on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 2 p.m. followed
by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations
to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Centre

Dear Bill, Emily and Family, I was truly saddened and shocked when I got the call from my mother, Sheila Kenny, in St. john's. Though I have not seen Lynn in person in many years, I kept up with her through the friendship of Lynn's mother Frances with my mother. I have such great memories of going across the street to the Williams's house in Walsh's Square and Lynn would help with our hair and makeup before we went out. You are always in our thoughts, especially when we play Risk. The stories of your legendary cheating in the lantern lit tent back in Portage days continues to be a classic. Also, those days in Portage with you and Uncle Spiky are some of the best in my life. Coaching minor soccer and teaching the little kids PT was great. I always appreciated your sense of humour, some would say caustic and cutting but that would not be nice!!

Dear Bill, Emily, Maureen and Mark,
The last time the Finn Family was together was last November for Uncle Terry's 100th Birthday. We all had so much fun together celebrating. Lynn was an important part of our Irish celebration.
We, your Aunts, Uncles and many cousins, are all holding you close in our thoughts and prayers.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Lynn's passing. Lynn and I shared emails over the past couple of months, her positive attitude and inner strength was admirable. We often wrote about our girls and her love and pride for you, Emily, was so evident. I know you will carry that in your heart forever.
