Lynn Skousen Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 9, 2025.
Lynn Beatrice Skousen (née Dix), age 81, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2025, in Peoria, Arizona. Born on July 17, 1944, in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, Lynn lived a life marked by resilience, thoughtfulness, and a deep care for those around her.

Lynn dedicated many years of her professional life as a secretary, culminating in her retirement from American Express in 2000. Her work ethic and attention to detail were hallmarks of her career, and she brought the same dedication to every aspect of her life.

She was a devoted mother to her four children: Amanda, James, Joel, and Marcia. Her love extended across generations to include grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lynn also shared close bonds with her siblings, friends, and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford; her parents, Lorraine and Gerald Dix; her sister Jerri Anderson; and her newborn son Timothy Joe.

A woman of many interests and talents, Lynn found joy in DIY home improvement projects and painting which served as creative outlets that reflected both her practical skills and artistic spirit. She loved traveling to Door County, Wisconsin, a place that held special meaning for her throughout her life. Reading and Bible study were central to her daily routine, as was clothes shopping and engaging in heartfelt conversations with others.

Lynn was a devoted Jehovah's Witness who found purpose in sharing the Bible's message with those around her. Her faith was a guiding force that shaped how she lived and interacted with the world.

Those who knew Lynn will remember her as intelligent, beautiful inside and out, a good listener, and deeply loved. Her presence enriched the lives of many and leaves behind cherished memories that will endure.

May her memory bring comfort to all who knew and loved her.
