M. Glynn Cooper, 89, of Lakeland FL passed away on April, 12, 2008. Marvin Glynn Cooper was born March 26, 1919, near Jonesboro, AK. The only child of Victoria Brooks and Robert Cooper, he graduated high school and attended Arkansas State University. He joined the Arkansas National Guard and was in the Aleutians when WWII was declared. He was at Dutch Harbor during the bombing by the Japanese. He returned to Tucson after the war and became an electrical contractor, later moving to Phoenix. Glynn had a good voice and enjoyed singing in church choirs. He also enjoyed woodworking and stained glass, and was a member of Kiwanis International and VFW. His first wife, Pauline Rains, preceeded him in death. He is survived by his wife Beverly Ann, his sons Michael and Gregory and daughter Leslie Boerner, step-sons Robert and Perry Berlind, 9 grandchildren, and 14 great-grand children. Services will be held May 8th at the Church of the Beatitudes, 555 W. Glendale Ave, Phoenix. Mr. Cooper,
Sir, I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice for our Country when you served in with the U.S. Army fighting the Japanese during WW II-especially when you were at Dutch Harbor in June of 1942. And to your family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.
