Avid Nottingham Forest Football Club fan Mr Mark Flint (52), of Mill Lane, Edwinstowe, was cremated at Sherwood Forest crematorium, Boughton, after a service at the crematorium chapel.
Born at New Ollerton and educated at the local Whinney Lane Juniors and Dukeries Comprehensive schools, Mr Flint was a life-long local resident.
He worked alongside his father and brother as a plasterer with their firm Flint & Sons and in later years was employed with Kean Construction. The building trade was his occupation and also his joy - building homes for his father and family.
An all-round football supporter, he also had a keen interest in history, visiting National Trust properties throughout the United Kingdom, but first and foremost he was a family man, being most happy on walks and outings with family and friends.
Mr Flint, who died at Nottingham City Hospital, leaves his wife, Mrs Ann Flint, two sons, Matthew and Luke, and his daughter, Sarah.
