M. Rebecca "Becky" Higman, 82, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, October 21, 2022 at her home in Boonsboro.

Born on June 27, 1940, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of James Raymond Reese, Sr. and Emma Marie (Forman) Reese. She will be missed by her husband of 64 years, Robert M. Higman, Sr.

She was a graduate of Boonsboro High School. She sang with her sisters and brother "The Reese Sisters" all over the tri-state area in the 1970's and 1980's. Her joy was to cook and bake to share with neighbors, friends, family, and those in need. Becky also enjoyed hosting holiday gatherings for family, friends, and her church family. She loved flower gardening and sharing her plants with anyone who wanted some.

Becky was a lifelong member of Beaver Creek Christian Church and served as Deacon.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Sandra Curran and husband, Mark, Robert M. Higman, Jr. and Susan, Bradly J. Higman and Kim; grandchildren, Richard Derr, III, Joshua Higman, Jessica Higman, Jared Higman, Brittany Bonner, and Justin Bonner; great-grandchildren, Danielle Higman, Stevie Higman, Zepplin Higman, Lincoln McDade; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, Rev. Donald Reese, Rev. James Reese, Jr., Catherine Newcomer, Shirley Motz, JoAnn Lum; and her grandson, Daniel Higman.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 2022, at Beaver Creek Christian Church with Rev. J. Mark Curran officiating, with a viewing beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial will be held at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Hagerstown.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Beaver Creek Christian Church, 9711 Beaver Creek Church Road, Hagerstown, Maryland 21740.
