Mrs Mildred Joan Wallace
(89), of Warsop, formerly of
Meden Vale.
Born at Alexandra Street,
Warsop and educated at the
town's Hetts Lane, Sherwood
Street and Burns Lane
schools, Mrs Wallaceworked
in a munitions factory during
the Second World War,
then at Babyland, Mansfield,
for Mansfield & Worksop Co-op, at the National Coal
Board at Berry Hill in catering and for Makella Catering.
She enjoyed holidays at Skegness and Mablethorpe
and coach holidays with her late husband, Frank.
Mrs Wallace had also liked dancing at Melville Court,
Meden Vale and Oakland, Warsop, and enjoyed the social
activities at Melville Court Centre.
Mrs Wallace, who died at Parkside Care Home, Forest
Town, leaves her daughter, Joan, grandchildren
Emma and Andrew and great-grandchildren Joseph
and Rhiannon.

Floral tributes were from family only and donations
received in lieu of flowers were for Alzheimers
Research and Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air
Ambulance.
The service was conducted by the Rev A. Fletcher,
and arrangements were by G. A. Townroe & Son.
