Mabel Elmina Smith Obituary
Mabel was born June 20, 1933 to Keith Sinclair Wike and Bessie Eva Wike in Delaplaine, Arkansas. while she was still young her Family moved to Alabama where she grew up. Mabel came to California in 1950 to visit her then boyfriend Billy J. Smith and his Family. Mabel and Bill were Married January 18, 1952, they had 3 children Deborah Alice; Billy Joe Jr; and Denise Ann. Mabel and Bill celebrated 70 yrs together before his passing in Sept. of 2022. Mabel worked at Queen of the Valley in the Emergency Room and Urgent Care for 34 Years, after Mabel's retirement from QVH she enjoyed traveling and spending time with Family and friends. Mabel was predeceased by her Husband Billy J. Smith, her daughter Deborah A Johnstone; son-in-law Wayne L. Johnstone; brother Williard Wike; brother Otis Wike. Mabel is survived by her Sister Thelma Hendricks(John);by her Son Billy Smith Jr.(Jeanie);her daughter Denise Jorgenson(Brandt);her 5 grandchildren Robert Smith(Lisa); Kristal Broyles(Jeff);Justin Smith(Kyt); Rebekah Jorgenson; Amanda Jorgenson; 4 great-grandchildren Austin Broyles; Ashlyn Broyles; Devin Smith; Oliver Smith.
Services for Mabel will be held in The Chapel at Tulocay Mortuary 411 Coombsville Road in Napa, on Friday July 25, at 11:00 am, a reception will follow.
In lieu of flowers donations to charities Mabel supported would be an honor, Molly's Angels;Cystic Fibrosis; American Cancer Society; and any charity supporting our Veterans.

My prayers and condolences to your family. Mabel was a very special person who was well liked by many. I always enjoyed talking to her at the grocery store and have such fond memories of the years I have known her.

Mabel leaves a deep and everlasting memory for us. She was the epitome of devotion, generosity and kindness to everyone. We will never forget her.

Mabel was a beautiful, loving, caring and dedicated person and nurse. She cared for those who were in need. She mentored new nurses, shared her knowledge and experience. She also had a great sense of humor and a great laugh. She will be missed!

Mabel,
You were more then a friend and a neighbor to us, you were family. Our family was so blessed to have spent the last 20 years with you creating so many wonderful memories. We miss seeing you every single day. Thank you for becoming our "Mimi", making sure we always made it to our destinations safely and feeding our dogs endless milk bones. We´ll especially miss your homemade bourbon balls, fudge and chicken and dumplings. We hope you are resting pain free with Papa, Rilee and the rest of your family that we know you missed dearly. Thank you for so many wonderful years. Sending our condolences and love to the family.
