I Remember Ms. Mabel... many years ago, I worked with her at Alamance County Offices. Often we ate lunch together, during which time we talked. She made her own lunches, and always there was something from her garden. Over the years, she shared her quiet wisdom with me... from her I learned about Southern cooking, hospitality, and the importance of humility. She was a very special lady, and I am blessed to have known her. Rest in Peace, Ms. Mabel.
