MOORESVILLE -- Mabel Lowe, 93, of Mooresville, died on Monday, July 26, 2010 at Genesis Eldercare in Mooresville, NC. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Mooresville. She was one of the founding members of the XYZ Group and Choir, a member of the Fidelis Sunday School Class and a member of the WMU at First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Lowe was born in Lincoln County on January 16, 1917 to the late John Franklin and Mattie Gardner Bradshaw. She was employed at Templon Mills for 20 years. She was married to J. D. Lowe who died in 1997.
Also preceding her in death was a daughter, Pearl Lowe, grandson, Jonathan Brantley Lowe, daughter-in-law, Harriet B. Lowe; sisters, Carrie Smith, Zannie Lowe, Alvanelle Lowe, Dorothy Shelton, Eva Jones and Margaret Bradshaw; brothers, Charlie and Clyde Bradshaw.
Mrs. Lowe is survived by daughters, Sybil L. Myers and husband, Wade, of Salisbury, NC and Reba L. Rogers and husband, Mike, of Mooresville, NC; son, Johnny F. Lowe of Mooresville; grandchildren, Chris Lowe, Kelly Buchanan, Jason Wright, Aaron Rogers, James Rogers, Clayton Rogers and Ethan Rogers; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Ruline B. Lewis, Sue B. Lawing and brother Fred Bradshaw all of Stanley, NC.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lowe will be on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, Mooresville, with the Dr. Jerry Cloninger and Rev. Mark Pitts officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30 - 3:00 PM in the church sanctuary.
